Duet Coxless Pair is formed in late 1999. in Belgrade with an idea to start a series of the VIRTUAL - PHYSICAL JAM  - SESSIONS live with audience  and with intention to invigorate Old & New, Live & Dead, Famous & Unknown, JAZZ & Not Jazz. They started sessions in January 2000 and this wasl going on for a while once a month as a part of the "Step Across The Border" program at the club "Dom Omladine" in Belgrade. For every session they had a different guests and different tracks. In April 2000 they signed for Cosmic sounds and the May Session with Boris Bunjac on vibraphone is purposely recorded for their debut album on COSMIC SOUNDS. Album was released on 4.October 2000 and CP appeared live in London on 21st at Plastic People and 22nd October at Jazz Cafe. In May 2003 they are returning to London to play at The Barbican Centre.
 
DJ Munja was a resident DJ of COXLESS PAIR and in charge of scratching. Scratching gets completely different meaning in his case. The guy plays turntables. This is a real musical instrument for him. He does rhythm section as well as solos. Very creative. (see also MB6).
Boris Bunjac plays vibraphone for Belgrade's Philharmonic. He was a guest artist at that May 2000 concert that was recorded for their debut album "Contemplation". You can also hear him on Arkestra One's track "The Man From The Audince" but as well on Coxless Pair tracks on Belgrade's Burning vol. 1 and vol. 2 and Coxless Pair 12" (CS12-06)
Mihailo Krstic has joined band after the release of 'Contemplation' album. He joind them for the promotional trip to London where they played @ Plastic People and Jazz Cafe. Very talented, young and promissing multi instrumentalist. With CP he played keyboards, with MB6 he played bass and with Space Runners (Z..K.'s project) he played violine and keyboards. With Dusan Petrovic started project NOVA EXPRESS that had their debut on Belgrade's Burning vol. 2 and now co-operating with So Hayashi.
Sonja Loncar is playing piano and studying composition in Belgrade. She has joined the band in spring 2002 and played with them live and also apearing on their 12" (CS12-06). She also played piano on  Painkiller Septet's track (on Belgrade's Burning vol. 2)
Fedja Franklin percussionist from London who moved to Belgrade. He was a member of Akwaba People and few more London based bands and still playing with Celloman. He started playing with Coxless Pair in summer 2002 and is apearing on their 12" (CS12-06)
