Dusan Petrovic -  tenor sax. MB6 founder and leader. More about him on previous "Coxxless Pair" page.
Vladislav Rac: Bass player with Reggae deep in his hearth. Permanent member of couple of cult Belgrade's bands. Never listened to Jazz before MB6. (recently bought a trumpet, ha!)
Miladin Radivojevic - Funky drummer from Belgrade. Never persuaded musical career and these are the highlights of his career
DJ Munja - Guru of Belgrade's Hip-Hop and Rap scene. Scratch virtuoso. Decks are becoming real instruments in his hands. Resident DJ for Coxless Pair and MB6

In a few words we could say that MB6 are playing deeeep Jazz with a deeeeep bass line, scratch as a part of a rhythm section and a mad, mad sax. ‘Favourite Tongues’ is probably one of the best versions ever of  “My Favourite Things” (due respect to Coltrane). Although being very Jazzy and quite heavy in sound it is a floor filler. I’ve tried it and it works

DUSTY GROOVE AMERICA
Funky jamband grooves from Yugoslavia! The Menson Benson Sextet is a group headed up by tenorist Dusan Petrovic -- also in the related group Coxless Pair -- and the oddly-named four piece lineup features searing solos by Petrovic, plus work on bass, drums, and turntables, which adds some scratching into an otherwise straight-ahead funky mix of styles. The group feel a bit like one of those New York combos -- Soulive or Topaz -- mixed with turtablist tricks to give the sound a slightly hip hop groove.
